Illusion and stand-up shows
I came into the world some time ago. I don’t remember the day I was born but apparently, I cried like a baby. They also said that in the first weeks of my life I was very much like my father – lying on my back and holding a bottle in my hands. My mother never breastfed me. She always had a headache. There was also no tradition of illusion in my family. My father didn’t disappear when I was three but instead my mother left before I was born.
When I once told her that I would become a magician when I grew up, she said that these things were mutually exclusive. I caught the bug of sorcery as a teenager when I was in the States . . . in anxiety-ridden states.
To the young people reading this – you too may have the right to not know what to do with your own life. Never let your parents’ unfulfilled dreams stand in your way. I wanted to go to the School of Physical Education, but I was stung by the OSA – (Center for American Studies) and after that I immediately landed at the university. For twelve years I talked about the US during the day, and in the evenings I became frivolous – looking at the items I packed in the pockets of the suit, which, after a few years, I eventually bought.
Twelve years. That’s exactly how long it took me to discover that I had absolutely no talent for magic but I couldn’t give it up. I was too famous. I had to choose … and I put everything on 52 cards.
I don’t have a YouTube channel and I’ve never been on GOT TALENT but I assure you that the lack of my online and TV success is intentional. I also believe that behind every fulfilled artist, there is a deactivated Facebook account.
That’s me in a nutshell. An Americanist by education, and a hustler and crook by choice and passion.
I would write something else, such as the truth, but it would be trivial to write so well about myself.
